The second duo project from drummer Jacob Wutzke and saxophonist Lucas Dubovik.
We go way back. Dozens of concerts, recordings, travel days, heartbreaks. Our camaraderie runs deep, and you can hear it in the immediate deep connection of every note and rhythm.
For this album, we decided to approach the studio with a completely blank slate. No idea what we'd record or what the end result would be. Just two good friends speaking music together.
We ended up with 7 total tracks including 5 freely improvised original compositions and 2 of our favourite jazz standards. We sincerely hope you enjoy the music as much (or even half as much!) as we enjoyed making it.
