The inaugural Jazz Ensemble Playing Workshop!
WHEN: August 9th 2026 from 2:00pm-3:30pm
WHERE: My home studio in Montréal // near Metro Jarry // H2R
The concept of this workshop is simple. Students playing any instrument can sign up and come over to my home studio where we’ll play together and discuss various topics pertaining to jazz ensemble playing.
Students of all levels are welcome, but you must have a basic understanding of jazz ensemble playing. If you can keep a steady beat and play a few styles, you’ll fit in just fine :)
The ensemble will be completed by professional jazz musicians in Montreal. For example, if we receive registrations from a pianist and guitar player, then I will provide a professional bass player to complete the ensemble.
The workshop may be conducted in English, French, or a combination of both depending on the students’ preferences.
